Manager

Debora Zecchini grew up in Rome, Italy.  She first came to the US in 1997 to enroll in Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California where she planned to study psychology.  Soon after, she started waiting tables in her brother David’s restaurant, La Fontana, and worked with him until he moved to Saratoga Springs, New York in 1998. Debora remained in California, working in various fine dining restaurants for the next three years, and gaining invaluable restaurant experience.

In August 2000, Debora came to visit her brother in Saratoga Springs and she instantly fell in love with the city. She enjoyed her stay so much that by the end of September of that year, she had moved across the country, enrolled in SUNY Albany, and was serving at Chianti il Ristorante.

Debora was instrumental in the opening of Forno Bistro in 2004. There, she was the opening manager, although her heart was always at Chianti. After six years of serving and performing managerial duties at all of her brother’s restaurants, the general manager position was available at Chianti and Debora eagerly took on the new responsibility. She has been general manager for over three years.
